The half-day wine tour starts with a hotel pickup in Rome at 3 p.m. for afternoon tours. Enjoy the comfort of a luxury Mercedes Benz to leave Rome, passing along the ancient Appian Way and the Baths of Caracalla to reach Castelli Romani, a region of lovely hill ancient small towns 30 mins from Rome. The first stop is Castel Gandolfo, famous because of the summer residence of the Pope. Admire the scenery of Albano Lake and explore the pretty towns of Rocca di Papa, Grottaferrata, and Frascati while learning about the history, the culture and local wine production techniques from an expert guide. The tour includes a visit to 2 local natural farming wineries with wine and cheese tasting and wine and porchetta (juicy boneless pork) tasting. The tour will start also if raining, please dress appropriately. The tour will start with a minimum of 2 people.
