What is Bag-in-Box Wine

The bag-in-box is a resistant but flexible bag equipped with a plastic tap for pouring wine that takes place without air entering the bag. In this way the organoleptic properties of the wine are not altered. For many years, bag-in-box wine was seen as a poor quality wine and was hardly found on the tables when meeting friends. But finally something has changed, the success of this format for its simplicity and practicality has led many important and noble wineries to have in their catalog 2 or 3 types of wine packaged in bag-in-box.

Features of the Bag-in-Box Wine Barrel Cooler

After the great success of the bag-in-box wine on our tables, our technicians have developed a line of elegant containers for these wine bags to make the wine pleasing to the eye as well as to the taste. The oak barrel can accommodate 3 or 5 liter wine bags, it is made with the same type of wood and the same construction technique as the wine aging barrels, only smaller and with a stainless steel front tap with easy connection system for V-top wine bag and a large back door for easy setup. The barrel has been designed for professional use, wine bars and restaurants, and is made up of oven-dried and internally regenerated oak wood staves. The staves have a thickness of 25 mm and offer a great thermal insulation capacity and a solidity unmatched on the market. A cooling unit has been installed on the back which cools the wine down to a temperature of 10° C (50° F) below room temperature. (If you want more cooling, see the refrigerated barrel). It can work either with a 110 – 220 volt household power socket or with a 12 volt battery (not included).
