Acquaviva red onion is a precious bulb with a sweet taste, a flattened shape and color based on a range of colors from red to purple. This type of red onion is grown exclusively in the municipality of Acquaviva, South of Italy. Acquaviva red onion paté is a simple and genuine product that maintains the nutritional properties and flavor of the fresh product, making it suitable for the preparation of tasty and refined dishes. This red onion is distinguished from other types by its particularly sweet taste, which makes it easy to combine with natural foods such as salads and waffles. The paté is totally organic and onions are grown without the use of fertilizers.
Red onion 92%, Wine vinegar, Wine, Salt, Fresh basil. All ingredients are cultivated in South Italy in a bio farm.
Produced by Anna Iannone Farm, established in 1996, the farm is mainly engaged in the production of fruit and vegetables as Acquaviva Red Onion and other Slow Food local products. In November 2013, thanks to the great sensitivity shown for the protection and conservation of the natural environment and biodiversity, it obtained the national award “Green Flag in Agriculture”.
